The EZRock is a state-of-the-art shifter that eases transfers between bed and chair (or bed and commode) with no lifting.

A support slips under the buttocks of the sitting person, and the torso brace fits against his/her chest, with the support strap around the individual’s back. When the person rocks up to a vertical position, the shifter then rotates and the user can be lowered onto wheelchair, commode, or other seat. Caregivers reportedly need to use only one finger on the handle to complete the transfer.

The four-piece device is disassembled for easy travel and storage and requires no electricity or hydraulics. It weighs less than 23 pounds. The EZRock is priced at $1,790. A video is available.
