The U.S. Department of Commerce is busy encouraging businesses across the country hire military veterans.

From General Motors (GM) to rock music sensation Kiss, to former president Bill Clinton, businesses across the country have joined forces to stimulate job growth by hiring veterans.

The Hiring Our Heroes program is a nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment. Working with their network of 1600 state and local chambers and other strategic partners from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, their goal is to create a movement across America in hundreds of local communities where veterans and military families return every day.
