A free lecture series on spinal-cord injuries (SCI) and stem cell research is available for download.

The SCI Support Group at the Sharp Rehab Center in San Diego organized the lecture series that took place from April to June.

The resources available in the San Diego area resulted in the lecture series. Southern California is a hotbed of SCI and stem cell research, and the state, through Proposition 77, has allocated $3 billion to stem cell research. Speakers were asked to focus on short- and long-term field trial possibilities.

Based on the feedback from lecture attendees and webcast participants, the series is being evaluated for continuation through the summer and fall.

For more information or to download the lecture series, contact Richard Green, SCI support group manager at Sharp Rehab, Richard.Green@sharp.com, or organizer Paul Polishuk at Polishuk@igigroup.com.
