The Challenge of MS
Live fully, fight back, and hope for the best is message in Despite MS, to Spite MS.

Authors Dan and Jennifer Digmann have lived with multiple sclerosis for more than 25 years, combined. The book describes their trials, triumphs, and constant battle for health and happiness.
This book is part love story, part healthcare narrative, and part self-help piece. The Digmanns use their experience as public speakers to create an honest portrait of life with MS. Through the tough times (Jennifer’s losing her ability to walk) and moments of beauty (the couple’s first dance), they retain their positive attitude and desire to make each day better.
Despite MS has been used as a textbook for classes on disability theory. Its audience includes medical professionals, self-help leaders, caregivers, and readers who have MS and other chronic diseases. Portions of the proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Camp Courageous of Iowa.
