SCI Total Fitness launches online exercise program for people with spinal cord injury.

The 45-minute online program reportedly increases endurance, improves muscle tone, and aids in weight loss.
If you’re a wheelchair user with transportation problems and isolation issues but want to be more fit, a new program may help.
SCI Total Fitness is believed to have launched the first online exercise program for people with spinal-cord injury. The 45-minute Fitness and Strength Training (FAST) is offered online, twice weekly, for $25 per month, with no sign-up or cancellation fees.
FAST members also have access to a support forum where they can track their progress and interact with other participants, increasing the motivation to stick with the program and achieve goals. Benefits of the workout include strengthening scapular stabilizers, increasing endurance, improving muscle tone, and weight loss. Studies have shown these improve mood, increase energy, and lower the risk of common health complications associated with SCI.
